OMEGA Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Submitted by: BICKEY11Introduction
This makes a healthy tasty breakfast! Plus an added boost of flax to help your brain function! This makes a healthy tasty breakfast! Plus an added boost of flax to help your brain function!Number of Servings: 2
Ingredients
-
1 Cup Fresh Strawberries Halved
2 Small Bananas Cut
4 Tbsp Ground Flax (Optional)
1/2 Cup Vanilla Yogurt
3/4 Cup Pineapple Orange Juice (or just OJ if desired)
Directions
Prep the berries and bananas a day before by slicing them and freezing them. This negates the need for ice in your smoothies.
Put frozen fruits in the blender with the flax seed, yogurt & juice....blend until smooth
Serve and enjoy. Put any remaining smoothie into popsicle molds and make frozen yogurt popsicles!
If its too thick, beef it up with a little water or ice.
The Flax Seed Is Optional, I use it for the Omega 3's, but it does have about 60 cals per serving, so if you're trying to save calories, you can make it without.
