Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    1.5 cups flour
    1.5 cups old fashioned or instant oats
    1.5 cubes butter
    1 cup brown sugar/ teas cinnamon or allspice
    If desired: tbsp orange or lemon zest
    10-12 oz favorite jam / preserves: apricot, strawberry, blackberry, blueberry, raspberry, or apr/pineapple...
    Variation: add 1 Tbsp Orange Zest to oatmeal/flour mixture.
    Or;
    add chips (white or chocolate) or use 1 can wholeberry cranberry sauce w/ choc chips (1/2 cup...

Directions

Combine flour, oatmeal and sugar/spice. Cut in SOFTENED butter to make crumbly. Use 1/2 on bottom of slightly greased 8 x 8 pan. Make 1/2 inch up side. Pat and spread gently jam. Sprinkle w/ chips if desired. Add 1/2 topping. Bake 350 degrees 35 mins Let cool & cut into 16 squares. Recommend refrigeration but okay to leave out (just keep covered either way).
