Introduction

A tasty black bean salsa to serve as a side dish to burgers or chicken or roll in a whole wheat tortilla for a quick healthy, high fiber meal. A tasty black bean salsa to serve as a side dish to burgers or chicken or roll in a whole wheat tortilla for a quick healthy, high fiber meal.

Ingredients

    1 can black beans, drained
    1 cup red ripe tomato, diced
    2 tbsp cilantro, raw, torn
    1/2 cup red onion, chopped
    1/2 tsp sea salt or regular salt
    1/4 cup lime juice

Directions

Mix drained black beans, with diced tomato, torn cilantro,chopped red onion, salt and lime juice in a medium size container with lid. Shake or stir to blend the flavors. Put container in refrigerator for atleast 1 hour to let the ingredients absorb flavors.
Heat in the microwave if prefer to be warm or serve at room temperature.

Serves-4 *may add diced jalopeno if prefer it spicier, not included in the nutrition content.
