1 c white whole wheat flour (nutriblend)
1 c spelt flour
1/3 c sugar
2 t baking powder
4 T butter
1 t vanilla extract
1 t almond extract
1/4 c chopped almonds
1/4 c chopped dates or cranberries
Combine dry ingredients. Cut in butter. Stir in remaining ingredients.
shape into 2 logs. Cook logs on parchment paper. Bake for 25 minutes
Cool for 10 minutes. slice into half inch slices.
Place slices cut side down on baking sheet and return to oven for 18 to 20 minutes, turning half way through. Let cool.
