Bacon & Ham Quiche - Low Carb

Introduction

I changed the heavy whipping cream to light cream, still tastes really good... too much fat and calories in the heavy whipping cream, lightened this recipe up quite a bit. I used regular eggs, you can try egg beaters, but not sure how it will come out. Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    - Cooking Spray
    - 5 eggs, whole
    - 1 cup light cream
    - 5 slices turkey bacon, cooked, chopped
    - 5 slices breakfast ham, chopped
    - 1 cup mushrooms, chopped
    - 3/4 cup reduced fat shredded cheddar cheese
    - 1 stalk green onion (optional)
    - seasoning salt and pepper to taste
    - dash oregano (optional)
    - dash garlic powder (optional)

Directions

1 - Preheat oven to 325.
2 - Mix all in ingredients, except cheese, together in a mixing bowl.
3 - Coat pie dish with cooking spray, and transfer mix to pie dish. Cover mixture with the cheese before putting it in the oven.
4 - Depending on your oven*, cook 45-55 minutes or until knife comes out clean.

*I have an electric stove, and I usually leave it in about 50-55 minutes. Ovens vary, so start with 45.
