Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    2 Tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
    2 Tablespoons Sugar
    2 Tablespoons Flour
    pinch of salt
    1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
    1 tsp Canola Oil
    2-3 Tablespoons of water

Directions

Combine dry ingredients in a mug and blend with a fork. Add wet ingredients and blend well. (Will be quite thick. Add additional 1 Tbsp of water for a brownie that is less dense with a more gooey texture.

Nuke on high power approximately 1 minute, until desired consistency is reached. (Partially soft in the center is ideal; it cooks a bit after the time is up!)

Top with desired toppings and enjoy.

Also, I forgot to mention, but I added a small sprinkle of baking powder to the dry ingredients to make it fluffier. - 2/22/11

  • Fantastic. Instead of unsweetened powder and sugar, I just added 2 Tbsp of chocolate milk mix. It was moist and chocolatey. I know what to make when my sweet tooth hits again. - 8/19/14

  • Delicious! Noting a few comments about a rubbery texture, I also added a pinch of baking powder and a small squirt of honey (tends to make cakes moister). Works a treat! I baked it in a small square Corningware and it made 4 'brownies' -- 2 apiece for me and my hubby. - 7/23/14

  • I loved your dessert idea so much I did a makeover using stevia (for those of us who can't have sugar) what a great way to curb those chocolate cravings. It's awesome with just a couple of teaspoons of peanut butter on top too. - 8/29/13

  • Win!!!! I added a pinch of baking powder. Also I put a half cup of water in the microwave with it to keep it from getting a rubbery texture. Of course it's not the same texture as oven baked, but chocolatey and good. Do not overcook! - 4/2/13

  • OH MY GOODNESS! Some people are picky, but when it comes to an intense chocolate craving, only the real stuff will do! I actually couldn't eat it all because it was so rich, but it was ohhhh so good! My husband finished it and loved it as well! Thank you! - 2/2/13

  • I tried this twice, adjusting microwave time and power level, but it still came out rubbery and too chewy for my taste. - 4/10/12

  • Thank you! My husband is on a temporary low iodine diet, which (among other things) means no diary, no egg yolk. I was trying to figure out a chocolaty treat for him and found your recipe. It was a big hit! - 1/21/12

  • Easy to make, and only 1 minute to cook- weird!
Has a sort of weird consistency, but it doesn't detract from the chocolate! (consistency is similar to microwavable meals that contain brownies). This hits the spot and saves me from the binge that comes with making a whole tin of brownies. - 3/28/10

  • good flavor but chewy and rubbery as most micro food is - 7/12/09

Aww.. I'm sorry to hear you were not pleased with it. Maybe try nuking a little less time and see if it improves the texture? We like ours soft in the middle, and I think that helps with the rubbery feel if you dont overbake it. Thanks for the comment tho :o)
