Introduction

This is a low-fat lasagna recipe. This is a low-fat lasagna recipe.

Ingredients

    1 24 oz. jar Bertolli Organic Tomato and Basil Spaghetti Sauce
    1 tbsp. canola oil
    1 onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 tbsp. Italian Seasoning
    1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, part skim
    16 oz. Cottage Cheese, Fat Free
    1 medium egg, cage free
    1 pound lasagna noodles

Directions

Saute onion and garlic in a skillet until tender. Add the spaghetti sauce.

In a small bowl, mix cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese, egg, and italian seasoning.

Cook lasagna noodles per package directions.

Place a small amount of sauce into greased 9 x 13 pan. Add noodles. Add another layer of sauce and noodles. Add cheese mixture to cover noodles. Layer sauce and noodles until all are used. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over top. Cover with foil. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until bubbly. Remove foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
