Low-Fat Tortillas

Introduction

Tasty Tortillas with all the flavor and half the fat!!! These are a must have! Tasty Tortillas with all the flavor and half the fat!!! These are a must have!
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1/2lb lean ground beef
    1/2 cup mashed kidney beans
    1/2 cup+ chopped onions
    2 tbsp minced chopped garlic
    1 tsp chili powder
    1 tsp Texas Pete Hot Sauce
    Whole Wheat Tortillas

Directions

1) Brown 1/2lb lean ground beef with 1/2 cup chopped onions and 2 tsp of minced garlic
2) Drain fat
3) Add 1 tsp of Chili Powder and Texas Pete to taste
4) Heat until warm

Serve on whole wheat tortillas ! Add tomatoes, lettuce, low-fat cheese to kick it up a notch!!

  • The name is kind of misleading. I really thought this was going to be a recipe for making tortillas when it is actually one for making soft tacos. The fat and calorie count would be even lower if you used lean ground turkey instead of beef. I make this all the time and it is a favorite. - 4/4/09
