venison individual meat pies

Submitted by: JSWIFTBIRD

Introduction

I was out of eggs and just out everything. Had teenagers over and needed something for breakfast. I figured these would be filling for hungry boys and I was right. They loved them.
Next time will add eggs. They are good anytime.

Ingredients

    8 egg roll wrappers
    1 lb. ground venison
2 large baking potatoes cut in small pieces
    1cup onion diced
    1 tea salt
    1 tea pepper
    1 tea blackened seasoning
    1 tea garlic
    1/2 tea celery seed
    flour to thicken broth
    8 cups water

Directions

Makes 8 pies. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees
Boil water, venison, potato, onion and seasonings until potatoes are done, about 20 minutes. Drain reserving about 2 cups broth. Add enough flour to broth to make a thin gravy. Mix 1 cup gravy with meat mixture, set aside.
Lay out wrappers on clean surface, divide meat mixture into 8 then put on wrappers. At this point you can add more gravy to meat or pour it over the finished wrappers. Fold wrappers from corner to corner and seal. Place on a cookie pan and bake.
Bake in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes or until wrappers are golden.
