Baked Oatmeal
Submitted by: LADYBUG_1983Introduction
a bit of a crispier version of oatmeal a bit of a crispier version of oatmealNumber of Servings: 9
Ingredients
-
3 1/2 Cups oats
4 Cups water
pinch of salt to add to boiling water (1/8 tsp?)
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup shredded coconut
The raisins and coconut is what I like in my oatmeal. You can add whatever solid ingredients you usually eat in oatmeal and in whatever quantities you like. But it will change the nutrition info for this particular recipe.
Directions
Preheat oven to 350.
Put water in a saucepan, Salt the water and bring to a boil.
Arrange the rest of the dry ingredients in a casserole dish.
Stir just to evenly disperse.
Once water comes to a boil add it to the casserole dish.
Stir once more to make sure it is even.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
(I get 9 one cup servings. I used the 9 inch square casserole pan. but you can use whatever size you have. The longer 11x 15 pan works too, it just ends up coming out shallow-er and probably a bit more crispy since there is more top surface area.)
