Banana Nut Bread

Introduction

This is a recipe my grandma has passed down to me. We used to always make everytime I went to her house! It tastes great fresh from the oven. This is a recipe my grandma has passed down to me. We used to always make everytime I went to her house! It tastes great fresh from the oven.
Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    2 cups flour
    1 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp vanilla
    Stick of margarin (1/2 cup)
    3 bananas
    1/2 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions

Soften the margarine and mix sugar till fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Then sift sugar, baking soda and salt and slowly add flour while mixing. Fold in mashed bananas then mix in nuts. Grease bread loaf pan and pour in. Bake for 1hr @ 300. When pulling out of oven dust lighlty with butter. Slice into as many slices as you want. I slice medium width slices which makes 10 slices and then slice again length to make 20 small size pieces of bread.
