Pasta and meat sauce

Introduction

I like my meat sauce because I know what I put into it, not as much salt and fresh ingredients I like my meat sauce because I know what I put into it, not as much salt and fresh ingredients
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1lb extra lean ground beef(can use ground turkey)
    1 c chopped onions
    1c chopped mushrooms
    1c chopped red peppers
    1 16 oz tin diced or crushed tomatoes (without salt added)
    1 6 oz tin tomato paste
    1 tsp each basil, oregano, marjoram (fresh is better but need more fresh than dried)
    1 tbsp olive oil
    1/4 tsp sea salt
    1 tsp pepper (or to taste)
    1 pound dry pasta (cook according to package directions)

Directions

On medium to low heat in heavy large skillet heat oil and add meat. Brown then add onions and cook till onions are soft then add peppers, mushrooms and spices. When peppers are soft add paste and crushed or diced tomatoes. Simmer for 1/2 hour and cook pasta during this time. When pasta is done, drain and add to the sauce. Makes 6 servings. Great with salad and garlic toast.
