Healthy Sausage and Peppers

Introduction

With turkey sausage and an added cup of carrots shredded it cuts calories but not flavor. With turkey sausage and an added cup of carrots shredded it cuts calories but not flavor.

Ingredients

    turkey sausage
    peppers
    onions
    carrots
    tomato sauce
    olive oil
    garlic
    oregano
    basil
    black pepper
    garlic powder

Directions

Place a little olive oil in the pan over medium heat and add the sausages. While they are browning slice peppers and onions and mince garlic cloves. Take the sausages out and place on cutting board to cool. Add a little more oil, and pepper and onion strips. Cook down until they are semi-soft. Add the garlic half way thru and cut the sausages in half lengthwise and pieces about 1/4 in thick. Add the sauce and sausage. Warm thru, stirring occasionally. Eat plain, over pasta or on a roll. Delicious!
