Sesame Chicken - LOW FATSubmitted by: ORANGECOWCAT
* 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts (1.5 pounds)
* 1 tbsp sesame oil
* 1/4 cup honey
* 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
* 1/4 cup water
* 1 tablespoon cornstarch
* 1/2-1 teaspoon fresh ground ginger
* 1/2-1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
* 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
*Heat sesame oil in skillet, over medium-high heat.
*Cook chicken for about 6 minutes or until no longer pink.
*While the chicken is cooking, mix together honey, soy sauce, water, corn starch, ginger and red pepper flakes in a sauce pan.
*Whisk until no corn starch lumps appear. Heat until it starts to thicken.
*Cook until sauce thickens slightly.
*You can add more water to achieve desired thickness of the sauce.
*Pour sauce mixture into skillet with chicken.
*Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
*Cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until chicken starts to soak up the sauce.
Makes six, 4 ounce servings.
