Crockpot Southern Pulled Pork

Submitted by: KELDRA1

Introduction

This is a great dish for a summer picnic or party. Its easy to prep and tastes delicious. I serve this over pita's or rolls but i did not include a bread in the recipe calculations. This makes a ton of food. I calculated this with 16-4oz portions. This is a great dish for a summer picnic or party. Its easy to prep and tastes delicious. * Onions, raw, 2 cup, chopped
    * Garlic, 5 cloves minced
    * Brown Sugar, 4 cup, unpacked
    * Cider Vinegar, 1.5 cup
    *Balsamic Vinegar, 1/2 cup
    * Red Ripe Tomatoes, 3 cup, chopped small
    * Tomato Sauce, 1 cup
    * Lea & Perrins, Worcestershire Sauce, 5 tsp
    *2tbs Italian seasoning mix.

Directions

1. Chop the pork into large 2-3 inch chunks.
3. Place pork and all other ingredients into the crock pot.
4. Cook on low heat for 6-8 hours.
5. Drain and reserve the juices for dipping.
6. With a fork shred the meat.

**if you like your pulled pork sweeter add more brown sugar, if you like it sour add more vinegar. This is how my family likes it.

Serves 16-4oz portions. Serve over veggies, rice or bread (not included in recipe calculations)
