Princess Pasta

Introduction

A recipe I created out of necessity and family has loved and requested for years. A recipe I created out of necessity and family has loved and requested for years.
Number of Servings: 18

Ingredients

    2 boxes of Garden Rotini
    1 can of Peeled, Diced Tomatoes
    1 6 oz can of tomato paste
    2 12oz cans of Tomato Sauce
    1 package of smoked sausage (kielbasa)
    2 tsp of sugar
    2 cloves of garlic
    1/2 cup of onions

Directions

Make pasta, rinse well. I slice, then half the sausage to bite size pieces. I saute it with onions and garlic while sauce is warming. I dump the sausage, garlic and onions into the sauce. Mix with the pasta.

I have a large family of 8 so this recipe could be cut in half easily.

  • Too tart for my family, because there is too much tomato paste. Replace the 2 twelve ounce cans of paste with 1 28 ounce can of tomato sauce and 6 ounces of unsweetened apple juice. It makes a BIG difference.
