Fruit Dip

Submitted by: INKYDINKYDOO

Introduction

This originally started out as a topping for a Jell-O dessert, but we liked it so much that I now thin it down, with a bit of unsweetened pineapple juice, and use it as a dip for fruit. Ingredients

    1/2 c. Splenda
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. pineapple juice (+ a bit to thin)
    1 T. butter
    8 oz. Cool Whip Free

Directions

In saucepan, beat egg. Add Splenda and pineapple juice. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Add butter. Cool and fold into Cool Whip or Dream Whip. This makes about 16 (2 tablespoon) servings. (Using granulated sugar in place of Splenda brings the calories up to 47 per serving.)
