Submitted by: MARIAKINS

Introduction

I like to make these muffin sized Taco Puff Tartlets when I am entertaining. They are easy to assemble and are really good! I like to make these muffin sized Taco Puff Tartlets when I am entertaining. They are easy to assemble and are really good!

Ingredients

    Taco Meat:

    2 pounds Ground Turkey
1 small diced onion (1/2 cup)
1 large diced clove of garlic
    1 packet Taco Seasoning

    Toppings:
    1 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese
    1/2 cup Sour Cream
    3/4 cup Salsa

    Guacamole:
    2 Avocados
    1 Lime
    .5 Cup Chopped Onion
    2 T Salsa

    Tartlet Shells:
    2-3 Puff Pastry Sheets

Directions

Sautee' using oil and butter (1 TB of each) in a seperate pan your 1/2 cup finely chopped onion and garlic til translucent. Set aside.

Cook Meat in pan according to Taco directions. Remember to press out grease in the pan before adding seasoning.

Combine meat and onions.

Roll out each puff pastry sheet intil you have enough space to cut 12 circles. Repeat this for your second 12.

Spray a muffin pan and press in your puff pastry circles into each cup.

Add 1 TB of shredded cheese to each cup.

Top with 2 TB of meat mixture. Press down.

If you can fit more meat into the cup you may.

Bake for 20 minutes at 400.

**Again, make sure your meat mixture has no grease left from cooking. It will run out of the cups and make the puff pastry wet.**

When removed from oven top with sourcream, salsa and guacamole. Serve within minutes of removing from oven. They cool fairly quickly!

To make Guacamole just mash 2 avocados into a bowl with 1/2 cup finely diced onion, juice of 1 lime, 2 TB salsa. Salt & pepper to taste.
