I too am going to use the Neufchatel to keep the sodium down a bit, it adds 10 calories but that is ok. But I will also try your recipe as is.
You can sprinkle cinnamon sugar on the tops for taste and looks - we do that all the time on regular cheesecake. Yum. - 4/14/09

    Thanks Linda,
I've been reading a lot of labels, but to be honest I had not looked for sodium.
    Thanks for the heads-up.
We will be having some leftovers tonight, cold from the fridge.
    Thanks again,
    Toodles,
    Tony

  • You can also use "Neufchatel" 1/3 less fat cream cheese...(70 cal./1 0z. srv., 6 g. fat, 120 mg. sodium.) I like to add 1/4 cup lemon juice + grated lemon peel for extra kick to my "plain" cheesecake. Thanks for this "simple to prepare" recipe! - 4/15/09

    Thank you.
I hope you and your guest(s) enjoy it as much as I did making it.
I suppose you could cut calories even more by using all fat free cream cheese, but I really like the 50/50 mixture and I thought it tasted GRREAT. Let me know how you like it! Tony
