Lemon Dill Sauce

Submitted by: JANESAYS2006

Introduction

This recipe is based on Paula Deen's version, but I have made lower fat substitutions and added more lemon, dill, and garlic. It is great served with crab cakes, grilled salmon, or any seafood! Ingredients

    Hellmann's Light Mayonnaise .5 cup
Sour Cream or light Sour Cream, .5 cup
Dill weed, fresh, 2 to 3 TBSP chopped
    Parsley, 1 TBSP chopped
    Lemon juice, 1 TBSP
    Lemon Zest, 1 TBSP
    Garlic, 2 cloves minced
Milk, nonfat, 1 to 2 TBSP

Directions

Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and stir well. The consistency will thicken as it chills; for a thicker sauce add less milk and for a thinner sauce add both tablespoons. Adjust for seasoning; sometimes I add a few grinds of salt and pepper. This recipe makes about 1 cup of sauce, and is best prepared hours before serving! One serving is a tablespoon of the sauce, and this was calculated using reduced fat sour cream.
