Tandoori-Style Tilapia

Ingredients

    12 oz. tilapia
    2/3 c. plain yogurt
    1 tsp. chopped garlic
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. curry
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cumin
    salt and pepper to taste
    fresh hot chilies

Directions

Combine all ingredients (except fish), mix thoroughly. Rub on both sides of fish and bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes.

  • if we use tandoori/fry fish spice available in indian stores...it taste great!!(one or two tbs of spices mix in yogurt and apply on fish)

  • Tasted very nice. Took some other reviewer suggestions and doubled all the spices. Wasn't bland at all. Served with brown rice and steamed veggies. Will definitely make it again. - 3/16/08

  • I agree it was very easy to make, however I also agree with the one reviewer that it was a bit on the bland side. Maybe adding more spices to it would make it better. - 9/23/07

  • i thought the flavor was kind of bland. I ate it with rice. Unless I slopped on gobs of extra sauce, I really couldn't taste the spices. I will make this again, but perhaps double the spices, so I can taste it more when eating it with a side dish! Delicious sauce on it's own though! - 9/13/07
