Tipsy Overnight Belgian Waffles

Introduction

An awesome recipe that I lightended up by replacing some of the fat and sugar with alternatives An awesome recipe that I lightended up by replacing some of the fat and sugar with alternatives
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    3 cups flour
    1 Tbsp active dry yeast
    1 1/2 cups water
    1 1/2 light beer
    1/4 cup sugar
    1/4 cup Splenda
    1 egg
    2 egg whites
    6 Tbsp light melted butter
    1 Tbsp canola oil
    3 Tbsp applesauce
    1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

1) Mix yeast with 1 cup flour
2) Whisk in in lukewarm water and beer and let sit for about 10-15 minutes until frothy
3) Beat together eggs, sugars, and salt until well combined
4) Mix melted butter, oil, applesauce, and vanilla
5) Combine all 3 mixtures and beat for 2 minutes
6) Cover and chill overnight or at least 4 hrs.
7) Stir batter to remix ingredients
8) Ladle batter onto preheated waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer's directions.
