Butter Herb Baked Fish

Introduction

Crushed saltine crackers mixed with parmesan cheese and herbs make a yummy crumb topping for this family-friendly recipe! Crushed saltine crackers mixed with parmesan cheese and herbs make a yummy crumb topping for this family-friendly recipe!
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1.5 lbs. tilapia filets
    25 saltine crackers
    2 T. margarine or butter
    3 T. parmesan cheese
    1-1/2 t. oregano
    1-1/2 t. basil
    1 t. garlic powder


Directions

Wash thawed filets, pat dry. Put saltines and rest of dry ingredients in ziploc bag and crush. Melt butter; brush on fish filets. Roll filets in crumb mixture; place in baking dish. Use all crumbs (put extra on top of fish). Bake at 350 for 25-30 min. or until flaky and tender.

(Any mild white fish may be substituted for the tilapia.)
