Best Chicken Soup Ever

Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    3 tbls butter
    ¼ cup olive oil
    1 chicken
    1 onion
    2 tbls salt
    1 large can of peeled tomatoes
    1 bay leaf
    2 green onions
    2 cloves of garlic
    ½ tsp marjoram
    1 cup of rice
    1 carrot

Directions

Brown whole chicken in olive oil & butter. Add the next 7 ingredients. You do not need to cut up as you will food mill everything later. Heat for 1 hour or until chicken is cooked through. Remove and debone chicken. Food mill the soup. Add three cups of water and heat until boiling. Add rice and cover. Cook until rice is finished (about 30 minutes). Put chicken back in soup and shred one carrot.
