Whole Wheat Flax-Amaranth Pizza Crust

Introduction

This is a very hearty, yeast-free pizza crust. No kneading or rising, so it's super-quick and very healthy! This is a very hearty, yeast-free pizza crust. No kneading or rising, so it's super-quick and very healthy!
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
    1/2 cup flax seeds, ground
    1/2 cup old-fashioned oats, ground
    1/2 cup amaranth (dry)
    pinch of kosher salt
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 1/4 cups water
    dried herbs, if you like

Directions

Mix all of the dry ingredients together thoroughly. (and herbs, if you're using them) Add the oil and mix again. Finally, add the water and mix until you have an even dough. Move the dough to an oiled baking sheet, and spread the dough on the sheet to desired thickness and size. (flour on your hands will make this easier!)

Bake at 450F for 8 minutes, add sauce/toppings, and then bake for another 8-10 minutes.
