Bob's Red Mill with fruit & nuts

Introduction

Hearty, delicious and nutritious alternative to Oatmeal on a cold morning (or ANY morning!) Hearty, delicious and nutritious alternative to Oatmeal on a cold morning (or ANY morning!)
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 cup Bob's Red Mill 8 grain cereal
    1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
    1/4 cup sunflower seeds
    1/4 cup slivered almonds
    1/4 cup dried apricot (or other dried fruit)
    1/4 cup raisins
    1 apple cut into small cubes

Directions

Makes 4 servings

Bring 3 cups of water to a boil
Add cereal and apple, raisins and dried fruit
Turn heat down and cover
After 5 minutes add almonds and seeds
Cover and cook remaining 5 minutes

Great on it's own or add 1/4 cup of milk/soy milk and serve.

Keep leftovers refrigerated ~ reheats nicely!
