Roasted Strawberries

Introduction

Just a different way to enjoy strawberries for dessert. This could also be good for a brunch as a different sort of topping for waffles, pancakes, crepes, etc. Just a different way to enjoy strawberries for dessert. This could also be good for a brunch as a different sort of topping for waffles, pancakes, crepes, etc.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    -2 pints or 1 pound Strawberries
    -3 tsp sugar
    -1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

Directions

Preheat oven to 350.

Prepare strawberries: cut off tops and slice in half. Spread out on a baking sheet or roasting pan. Sprinkle sugar and balsamic vinegar over strawberries, toss lightly to coat. Place in oven for 40 minutes.

Eat warm for dessert, or over low fat ice cream, with fat free whipped cream or cool whip, over pancakes, etc. The sky is the limit.

Makes 4 half-cup servings.
