Peanut Krispy Bars

Introduction

Addicting... I have made them a little healthier by reducing the amount of butter and adding in flax and wheat germ. Could also add up to 1 cup chopped peanuts, almonds or sunflower seeds (not included in nutritional information) Addicting... Ingredients

    1 cup sugar
    1 cup light corn syrup
    1/4 cup butter or margerine
    1 cup chunky peanut butter
    1 tsp vanilla
    2 Tbsp flax meal
    2 Tbsp wheat germ
    1 cup shredded coconut
    4 cups rice krispies
    2 cups corn flakes
    2 cups cheerios



Directions

Combine in saucepan and bring to boil:
sugar, corn syrup, butter or margerine

While sauce is boiling, combine in large bowl:
cereals and coconut

Remove sugar mix from heat and blend in:
peanut butter, vanilla, flax meal, wheat germ

Pour peanut butter mix into cereals and mix well. Press into buttered 9x13 pan, cool slightly and cut into 32 bars.
