Introduction

Full of fiber and protein, and DELICIOUS! Full of fiber and protein, and DELICIOUS!
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
    1/2 small banana
5 medium strawberries (fresh or UNSWEETENED frozen)
    1/4 cup skim milk
1/4 cup Odwalla Vanilla Protein Monster (or just another 1/4 cup skim milk)
Teeny bit of honey to taste

Directions

:Put banana, strawberries, milk, and odwalla in a blender, and blend up. It's okay if a couple strawberries remain whole, they taste great like that in the oatmeal!

No matter how I prepare oatmeal, it always tastes bland to me. I was excited to find this recipe, and when we tried it this morning, we loved it! We will definitely make it again! I just have one question. Is the sodium content low because of the type of oats you used? - 1/6/10

I'm glad you liked it! The low sodium is because of the oats - I probably just used store brand, but they're the equivalent of old fashioned Quaker oats in the tube-type container @ the store, as opposed to the packets of instant oatmeal which usually have some added salt, etc.
