Braised Cabbage

Introduction

This is a Sunday afternoon favorite that goes well with pot roast or baked chicken. This is a Sunday afternoon favorite that goes well with pot roast or baked chicken.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    4 c. shredded red cabbage
    1 sm. chopped or shredded onion
    1/2 tsp. red cayenne pepper
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tbsp. olive oil
    1 clove chopped garlic
    1/2 c. water

Directions

Put olive oil in bottom of favorite skillet add cabbage, onion, cayenne pepper, salt, and garlic (make sure you add garlic last so it doesn't burn). Cook over medium high heat for 5 minutes add the water stir put on lid and let steam for 5 more minutes. It's just delicious.
