Joy's Mom's Apricot Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Introduction

makes a 1 and 1/2 cup serving, sweet without adding sugar! makes a 1 and 1/2 cup serving, sweet without adding sugar!
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1/4 c. old fashioned oats
    1 apple, finely diced (braeburn's are great)
    3 dried apricots, finely chopped
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    dash salt
    3/4 c. water

Directions

1.Add oatmeal, water, cinnamon and salt to a glass bowl. Be sure to use a large enough bowl so that your cereal doesn’t run over in your microwave.
2.Chop apple and apricots finely and add to your bowl of oats.
3.Stir mixture.
4.Cover bowl with a plate.
5.Cook on high in the microwave for 4 minutes.
6.Once your oatmeal has cooked, you may add milk or yogurt.
7.½ cup yogurt or ½ cup skim milk adds 1 POINT.
8.If you like this mixture, you can make little packets and freeze them for a fast easy breakfast.
