Baked Chicken with Garlic, Bell Pepper and Cheddar

Introduction

I am always looking for a variation on baked chicken. This is my newest creation!

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    Green Peppers (bell peppers), 2 cup, strips (2 large bell peppers)
    Garlic, 6 cloves (sliced)
    Oregano, ground, 1/2 teaspoon
    Basil, 1/2 Tablespoon
    I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, Original Buttery Spray, 5 sprays
    Pepper, black, .25 tsp
    Salt, .25 tsp
    Cheddar Cheese, 1.5 cup, diced
    Safeway boneless, skinless young chicken breast with rib meat, 12 serving (1 package with 6 pieces=12 servings) cut into strips

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Prepare 9x11 baking dish (I used stoneware) with cooking spray

Cut chicken into strips
Slice bell pepper into strips
Peel and slice garlic cloves

Arrange chicken, bell pepper, and garlic in baking dish
Add 1 1/2 cup diced cheddar cheese

Sprinkle Basil, ground oregano, salt, and black pepper over top

Turn with spatula, fork or spoon to mix

Bake uncoverd for 30 minutes turning with spatula, fork or spoon about once every 10 minutes

Makes approximately 8 - 1/2 cup servings
