This recipe is quick, easy to make, and a good amount of protein and carbs to eat for an anytime of day meal.
15 Minutes to Prepare and Cook
Ingredients
-
3 cups of oats (not quick cook but the rolled oats)
7 scoops of protein powder of choice (I used choco casein by Optimum Nutrition since I am eating them for breakfast or snack and not as a post workout snack)
1 small package of sugar free pudding mix of choice (I used white chocolate)
2 cups of unsweetened original almond milk
1 tbsp of banana extract (optional and you could use any kind or none)
1 oz of nuts of choice
OPTIONAL: raisins, dates, sunflower seeds, flax mill, etc. Anything add in you want to make it healthier. I kept mine basic with the above ingredients.
Directions
Put the rolled oats into a blender and blend until fine. Empty sugar free pudding mix into a bowl and stir the two together. Add in your protein powder and stir together. Next, put 1 CUP of milk, the nuts, and extract and mixins into blender and blend until good and chunky. Pour mixture into the bowl and blend with oats and such. This is a good arm workout. Once it is as mixed as you can get, start adding a 1/4 cup of your remaining almond milk and keep mixing. By the end it should be a big chunky mix.
Take a pan and spray with PAM. Put mixture in and form into a block. Place in fridge. Cut into equal squares like a brownie. Mine made 12 squares as a dessert, snack option. Eat two with a little skim milk, yogurt or whatever for breakfast. You can wrap in plastic wrap or put in small snack bags but they need to be kept in the fridge.
