Introduction

turnip and carrots in olive oil, lemon juice and garlic turnip and carrots in olive oil, lemon juice and garlic
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 turnips
    2 carrots
    1 tabs olive oil
    2 tabs. lemon juice
    i tabs. hot water
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 garlic cloves diced.

Directions

cut the vegetables.
add oil, juice and water together. pour over vegetables until covered. add other ingredients to taste.
keep refrigerated for at least an hour before serving.

  • We decided that we prefer our carrot sticks plain. However, it was an interesting marinade for the turnip, which we would not otherwise eat raw.

    I am not sure how much water should be used. I guess it depends on the size of your container. - 9/1/10
