Cheesecake cookie bars

This is a recipe that I have had for years. Not sure where it came from. This is a recipe that I have had for years. Not sure where it came from.Number of Servings: 16
Ingredients

5 tbs unsalted butter, softened
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
8 oz neufchatel cheese
1 large egg
2 tbs 2% milk
1 tbs lemon juice
1/2 tsp vanilla
Directions
Heat oven to 350.
Blend butter, flour and brown sugar with a fork until crumbly.
Set aside 1 cup of mixture for topping.
Press remaining mixture into a 8x8 pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Combine sugar and neufchatel cheese until smooth.
Mix in egg, lemon juice and vanilla.
Spread mixture over the baked crust.
Sprinkle with reserved topping.
Bake for 25 minutes.
Cool and chill well before serving.
Cut into 16 squares and serve.
