1 pound fresh mushrooms, stems removed and reserved for later use;
1 cup mushroom stems, chopped;
1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced;
1/4 cup stick margarine;
dash tobasco sauce;
2/3 cup bread crumbs;
1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Preheat oven to 425
Melt margarine in a frying pan over medium heat; add chopped mshroom stems, green onions, and tobasco sauce; Saute until mostly soft (about 10 minutes); remove from heat and stir in bread crumbs and cheese.
Fill mushroom caps with stuffing mix place on cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes. Serving size = 1 cap.
