Irresistible Salmon Patties

Introduction

This is the way my mom used to make them. The patties are best cooked in a cast iron skillet, but a regular pan should be okay too. This is the way my mom used to make them. The patties are best cooked in a cast iron skillet, but a regular pan should be okay too.

Ingredients

    2 cans Salmon
    3 tsp yellow mustard
    1.5 cups quick oats
    1-2 tsp soy sauce
    1 egg
    1/4 cup white flour
    1/4 cup yellow cornmeal

Directions

In a mixing bowl mix the canned salmon, mustard, quick oats, soy sauce and egg. Form a ball and smoosh to form a 2-3" patty. Set these aside on a plate. Mix the flour and cornmeal in a small bowl. Coat the patties in this mixture. Cook in a pan with lite oil until browned. Should make 8-10 patties.
