Southern Smothered Green Beans with Ham

Southern Smothered Green Beans with Ham

Introduction

This is one of my favorite veggie dishes and its so easy to make. You can leave out the potatoes if you don't want the extra carbs. Can be used as a main dish or side item. Very popular as a side dish during hoidays down here. Picture was taken before I let it cook down. This is one of my favorite veggie dishes and its so easy to make. • I completely missed the part where you are supposed to simmer it with water for 45 minutes. I had already omitted the potatoes.. and the dish still came out wonderful. Crunchy sauteed green beans with onions.. delicious! - 1/7/12
