Chicken Ala King

Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    2 chicken breast, no skin
    1/2 cup Green peppers
    1/2 cup onions
    1/2 cup celery
    1 cup fresh mushrooms
    2 cans cream of chicken

Directions

Put chicken in the crock pot and let cook overnight. In the morning tear chicken apart with a fork. Add remaining ingredients and let cook 6-7 hours on low. Serves over rice or noodles. Serves 10

  • I used this recipe for my batch cooking in Stage 2, Healthy Diet Habit #6. I added pimentos and frozen peas like the Action Steps suggested. But I used the calorie count & nutrient value from this recipe. I thought it needed something crunchy like water chestnuts. - 5/15/07
