Leslie's Reduced fat and sugar granola

Ingredients

    3 cups old fashioned oatmeal
    1/4 cup non fat dry milk
    1/4 cup wheat germ
    1/4 cup flaxseed meal
    1/2 cup sunflower seeds, salted
    1 cup almonds
    1/4 cup honey
    1/2 cup Maple Grove Sugar Free Maple syrup
    1/4 cup dark brown sugar
    1 tbsp Smart Balance Omega Oil

Directions

Spray large sided cookie pan with pam.

In a large bowl, mix together oats, nonfat dry milk, wheat germ, flaxseed and nuts.

In a small saucepan bring honey, syrup, vanilla, brown sugar and oil to a boil. Use Medium heat.

Pour this over dry mixture and stir together with spatula or wooden spoon. Spread on backing pan. Cook in preheated 300 degree oven for 15 minutes. Stir and bake for another 10 minutes.

Granola will look sticky but will dry as it cools . Let cool completely and package in air tight containers.
