Turkey chili

Introduction

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1.25 lbs Jennie-O lean ground turkey
    1 can red kidney beans
    1 can chili beans
    1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
    1 can Hunt's diced tomatoes for chili
    1/2 cup of chopped onion
    2-3 chopped garlic cloves
    1.5 tbsp olive oil
    1/4 barbeque sauce (Rudy's)


    4 tbsp chili powder
    2 tbsp garlic powder
    1 tsp cayenne pepper
    2 tbsp cumin powder
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp pepper

Directions

Saute onion in olive oil for a few minutes. Add garlic and saute for a minute. Add lean turkey and cook until no longer pink. Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and chili beans. Add all the spices. Add kidney beans. Heat to boil and let simmer for another 30 -40 minutes for a total of 1 hr cooking time.
