    2 tsp coconut oil
    1 very large onion sliced into half rings
    4 Aidell's Chicken and Apple Sausage sliced into bite size pieces about 11 per sausage
    4.5 cups shredded red cabbage
    1/2 cup water
    black pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp Apple cider vinegar


Heat coconut oil over medium high heat in a large pot and add onions and cook down until some start to brown, add sausage and cook another 5 minutes. Add cabbage, 1/2 cup water, cider vinegar and pepper. Cover and cook 7 minutes, remove lid stir and cook another couple minutes. Cabbage should still have a little firmness to it.

Serves 4 very hungry people could be scaled to serve six.

I served with Garlic Rosemary Mashed Potatoes from this site and a large salad with honey dijon lemon dressing.
