Whey Biscuits (from leftover paneer liquid)

Introduction

A great "whey" to use the leftover liquid if you make your own cheese (paneer) using milk. To make it a bit healthier, I substituted light margarine for baking for the vegetable shortening called for in the original recipe. Source: online, exact source unknown. Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    2-1/2 c. white flour
    1 t. baking powder
    1/2 t. baking soda
    1 c. whey
    1 t. salt
    4 T. Blue Bonnet (or other brand ) light margarine

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

2. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, & salt.

3. Cut margarine into flour mixture.

4. Add whey and knead until soft dough roll forms.

5. Pat dough into 3/4 in. thick roll on lightly floured board. Cut into 10 biscuits and placed on lightly oiled cookie sheet.

6. Bake at 450 for 10 minutes.

Place on slightly oiled baking sheet. Bake in hot oven (450 F) about 10 minutes
