Tofu Fingers


40 Minutes to Prepare and Cook



Ingredients

    1lb Medium Hard Tofu
    1cup plain white flour*
    1t cayenne*
    1T Salt*

    *Only two tablespoons of flour mixture is counted in the nutritional information. This is the average amount that actually sticks to the tofu. You still need to use more flour to keep it from clumping. To cut down on waste, you can freeze the remaining flour mixture and re-use a few times.


Directions

Preheat oven to 400F.

Defrost tofu in the microwave. Get as much water out as possible. Some people squeeze then slice. Some vice versa. I've also heard of putting slice between plates and pressing.

Slice into four cards, then each card into 5 fries/sticks.

Combine dry ingredients in a baggie or plastic storage ware. Gently shake tofu in this until covered.

Bake for about 25min depending on how crispy you want. Turn them over somewhere in the middle.
