Introduction

Bannock is our family favorite. We love to eat it with stews & soups & toasted.

Number of Servings: 11

Ingredients

    3 cups flour
    5 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp salt
    4 tbps lard/shortening
    1 cup 2% milk (heated)
    1 cup hot water

Directions

Mix dry ingredients all together.
Cut in lard/shortening until crumbly.
Make well in flur mixture & pour in your hot liquids.
Stir with wooden spoon, making sure to mix all the way to bottom.
Use hands knead & form into ball.
Flatten out dough & use rim of cup to cut into rounds.
You should get about 11 rounds that have a 3inch diameter.
Bake in 350 degree preheated oven on a parchment lined cookie sheet, for 30 mins.
