This was awesome and the family finished it all in one night. Mine was not soggy at all because I only used 1 can of chicken soup and simmered it down. I also drained the tomatoes. I did not have any rotel, so I used a can of italian diced tomatoes and added cumin to it. - 9/2/09

Question: is there just one layer, or two, separated by a layer or a lasange? - 11/22/08

I am sorry I haven't responded to your question before now. No need to layer the tortillas. Just put them on the bottom. Thanks or asking.

My family loved this dinner! One of my boys actually had 2 helpings.. that is very unusual at our house. I jsut need to tone down the spice so probably won't put as much chili powder in it. Kids said it was a keeper! - 1/18/09

This sounds really good, but do you have to bake the tortilla for the top? It says to crumble.
    Thanks - 11/14/08

You can leave them off all together if you want. I use one that has been soaked in the broth and just tear them apart.

Fat free flour tortillas. Sometimes hard to find but they are out there.

  • It was ok and in a pinch we would make again. I followed some of the reviews that said it was too runny so I tried removing a can of the cream of chicken. It was still very runny. - 6/18/09

  • I love this. I made 1 adjustment and additions. Used Minute rice! Added Salsa and Jalepenos on top of the cheese. My Hubbie even ate the left overs.. that says a lot. - 4/28/09

  • I made this recipe exactly as specified, it was very runny. It had a wonderful flavor just to runny. Next time I make I will not soak tortillas (they fell apart) and drain the rotel and maybe even cut back on one of the cans of cream of chicken soup. - 3/15/09

  • I didn't really like it, it was far too salty for me. Next time I'm going to try using no salt added tomatoes and a can of green chiles, maybe light sour cream instead of one of the cans of cream of chicken soup. My husband loved it though, so I'll be making it again, just modified. - 2/5/09

This looks really good, but I could see myself going overboard on the chicken, SOOOO! how many ounces are there in "small" chicken breast? and while we are at it, how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop! ;-)

    THANKS 4 Sharing - 1/4/09
