Fruit Pie

Introduction

Simple to make 9" fruit pie. Simple to make 9" fruit pie.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    Pillsbury Pie Crusts 216 grams.................1 crust
    Strawberries fresh........................................8 large
    Kiwi Fruit skinned medium.........................2
    Apples, fresh 2-1/2" 4 per lb.......................1
    Granulated Sugar.........................................4 tsp
    Water...............................................................1 cup

Directions

Wash fruit, peel kiwi and dice up leave out hard center, dice up apple and strawberries. Peel the apple if you choose. Put ingredients into a small pot and simmer until they break down, make sure you add water and sugar! Let cool to room temperature so it will thicken a bit, while you roll out crust a bit more to make it about 1.5 times its size. Put crust into 9" pie pan and trim extra, roll out extra and set aside for the pie top. Pour cooled fruit filling into pie shell and cover with saved top. Bake at 325 degrees until crust starts to brown. Let cool and serve, makes 8 servings.
