Creamy chicken sausage pasta

Introduction

I adapted this recipe from one of Rachel Ray's shows to what I had on hand. Altogether it took about 20-30 minutes. I got about 5 servings out of this. I adapted this recipe from one of Rachel Ray's shows to what I had on hand. Altogether it took about 20-30 minutes. I got about 5 servings out of this.
Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    1/2 chopped onion
    3 garlic cloves
    6 slices of turkey bacon
    2 chicken sausage links
    1 can roasted diced tomatoes
    1 cup peas and carrots (I used frozen)
    1- oz cooked pasta
    1/4 cup 1/3 less fat cream cheese
    red pepper flakes (optional)
    1/4 cup shredded asiago cheese
    1/8 cup parmesan cheese
    1 tbsp olive oil

Directions

Saute bacon in olive oil. Add onions and garlic. Saute until tender. add sliced sausage and saute until browned. Add tomatoes and cream cheese and stip until metled and creamy. Add peas and carrots, red pepper flakes, asiago and parm. Heat through a minute or two and serve.

  • Is that really 1 oz of pasta? That would be about 3 or 4 noodles/shapes wouldn't it? 1/2 of a normal size box is 8 oz....that would seem a fit. Could you please confirm for me? It looks delish but I would love to know what qty of pasta the nutritional info is based on.
