IntroductionThis soup has very little fat and no cholesterol. Good and filling. I was born in the south on a farm and this was one of our regular and favorite meals. This soup has very little fat and no cholesterol. Good and filling. I was born in the south on a farm and this was one of our regular and favorite meals.
1/2 c. Onions, raw and chopped
1/2 c. Potato, raw, diced
1/4 can (12 oz.) Yellow Whole Kernel Sweet Corn, drained
1/2 c. Carrots, raw, chopped
1/4 c. Pinto Beans, partially cooked
1/2 c. Green Snap Beans
2 cans. Stewed Tomatoes, undrained
1/2 c. Fresh Broccoli, chopped and diced
1 T. Black Pepper
2 T. Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp. Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
1 tsp. Mrs. Dash Original Blend
2 c. Water
Turn burner to lowest level and cook for 2 hours. Be sure to stir frequently to avoid sticking. If Soup is too thick, add more water or tomatoes. Serve with crackers. Makes approx. 5-6 servings.
TIP: Frozen, cut Okra can be added to ingredients before cooking. You can also substitute veggies as you wish.
