Grandma Luetta's Strawberry Jello Salad

Submitted by: DAKOTATURTLE

Introduction

My grandmother made this for every holiday. We still make it at our house and the kids, grandkids love it. It can be a dessert or a fresh summer salad. Great for luncheons with tea and summer biscuits. My grandmother made this for every holiday. We still make it at our house and the kids, grandkids love it. Yummy! I think I'm addicted!
However, it is very sweet, so I think next time I'll try it with more strawberries and less pineapple and see if that tones it down a little. - 11/29/08

I made this recipe exactly as indicated and it was out of this world! My family LOVED it! I've not had as hard a time with a new recipe so far to keep myself from eating the whole thing before I even put it on the table! Family already asking for more. Grandma Luetta was some kinda genius! - 11/28/07

I might make this with Cool Whip Lite in the future, instead of cream cheese/sour cream- just personal taste, I think the cream cheese is a little heavy with the fruit. Otherwise delicious and refreshing. Very easy to make and serve. - 10/29/07
